Definition

The aux in/out are functions of a mixing desk allowing the signal from a channel to be bussed.

In a studio application the signal could be bussed to an effects unit/plugin, or sent to a separate headphone mix for an artist recording.

In a live application the aux out can be sent back to the stage for monitoring.
