Audio/MIDI interface

Definition

A device that will normally house XLR, jack sockets and a MIDI port, allowing for instruments/microphones and MIDI equipment to be connected to a computer/tablet for the purposes of recording.

Typically the interface will connect to a computer via either a USB or Firewire connection.
